The Pitts M-12 is a development of the Pitts S1, an aircraft that was first manufactured in 1945! Many national and international aerobatic championships have been won with different versions of the Pitts, and Pitts aircraft continue to fascinate spectators at flying events today, making this aircraft the epitome of aerobatic Biplane. On his 80th birthday, Curtis Pitts presented the Pitts M-12. Like the original, Great Planes’ model of the Pitts M-12 has been designed for aerobatics and its rugged wooden construction makes it ideal for extreme 3D aerobatics. The modeller can decide whether they want to power this impressive model with a classic petrol engine or powerful electric motor.
