 America's best known fighter the P-51 mustang excelled in long-range bomber escort duties during WW2. With those wing drop tanks the range was boosted to 1,650 miles giving the US bomber crews the support they desperately needed. Make no mistake about it though the P-51 was also America's best fighter and actually had a faster rate of roll than a Spitfire.

Black Horse has managed to faithfully recreate this iconic fighter using the clever lightweight CNC construction techniques they have become known for. The fuselage features a large access hatch, quality fibreglass cowl and many pre-painted vac form details such as the exhaust stack and radiator outlet. The wing and tailplane halves plug in to the fuselage on an aluminium spar and are removable for easy transportation. Black Horse paid extra attention to this cockpit on this model and used hand painted vac-form components to reproduce a very detailed cockpit area.

Supplied complete with the latest CNC machined air retract units and tough oleo legs. That wide track makes ground handling much easier than you would think and she copes well with grass surfaces.

Designed to suit a 33cc petrol engine allowing true fighter style performance and plenty of power to pull off impressive aerobatics and get you out of trouble should you need it.
